Payment of Fees

A current fee schedule is issued at the time of enrolment. Fees may be paid by direct debit.

FEE INCREASES

Our fees are subject to annual increase. Two week’s written notice of the increase is given prior to implementation.

LATE PICK UP FEE

We understand that occasionally parents can be held up due to traffic etc. A late collection fee of $15.00 per each five minutes after the closing time will be invoiced to your account in all circumstances. Parents must contact the centre and alternative arrangements must be made for your child to be collected. Any person likely to collect your child must be on the enrolment form as an emergency contact.

DEBT COLLECTION

A $40 late fee will be invoiced to your account at the end of every month that fees are paid after the due date. Should you fall behind in your payments, we ask you to please discuss your circumstances with the centre. Should you default in your payment plan, your child’s enrolment will be cancelled.

Our debt collection agency will recover any outstanding debt owed to the centre. Costs incurred associated with debt recovery will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian.

DISHONOURED CHEQUES

Any costs incurred by the centre due to dishonored cheques will be charged to the parent or guardian concerned.

FEE SCHEDULE

The fee schedule is determined in response to CPI rises and LEL reserves the right to review the fee schedule at any time in response to wage increases, inflation and other budgetary requirements.

CHILD CARE BENEFIT (CCB) AND 50% CASH REBATE

The Commonwealth Government provides assistance to parents with the cost of child care known as ‘Child Care Benefit’ (CCB). Our centre is registered and approved for CCB.

Child Care Benefit is paid directly to the centre, or may be applied for as a lump sum directly by parents at the end of the financial year. It is subject to an assessment of gross family income. Families are advised to contact the Family Assistance Office (FAO) to get specific details of benefits that they may be eligible for.

All families must apply for a CCB reference number upon enrolment at the service to be eligible to claim CCB and the rebate. Further information and claim forms to apply for CCB can be obtained from the FAO.

CHILD CARE BENEFIT AND ALLOWABLE ABSENCE LIMIT

LEL is an approved child care centre. Literature on CCB can be obtained from the centre or from the Family Assistance Office (Ph. 13 61 50). CCB is paid for up to an allowable number of absent days for each child per financial year. Allowable absence days may be taken for any reason and will accumulate to the allowable limit.

CCB is also payable for ‘approved’ absences including the following:

  • periods of local emergency
  • non-immunisation
  • rostered days off work
  • rotating shift work
  • court ordered shared custody
  • temporary closure or pupil free school days
  • public holidays

There is no limit to the number of ‘approved’ absences. Once your child has reached the total annual allowable absence limit, CCB cannot be applied for.
